TWI Services Sdn Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Avinn Engineering Services Sdn Bhd for the new collaborative arrangement to explore opportunities to develop, support, and enrich research activities in Sarawak related to the inspection industry that require specific expertise.
The MoU was signed on 14 July 2022 at TWI Malaysia by Abdul Muaz Bin Ideris, Technical & Project Director, and Dietmar Kok, Deputy Regional Manager of TWI S.E.Asia Sdn. Bhd. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both companies.
Avinn Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. is a wholly-owned Bumiputera company established in Sarawak, Malaysia incorporated on 9 January 2012. It is headed by Directors and Senior Managers with more than 28 years of experience in various fields ranging from civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering to business management.
Avinn Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. is registered with CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board), UPKJ (Unit Pendaftaran Kontraktor dan Juruperunding) and MOF (Ministry of Finance). To date, Avinn Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. is the only company authorized by Nuclear Malaysia for the RF testing covering the region of Sabah and Sarawak.
With the signing of this memorandum, candidates based in Sarawak now have easier access to CSWIP international certification. The collaboration aims to build sustainable skills and provide specialist training and international certification to the workforce of the state.
TWI will contribute to this initiative by providing its standard training programmes and qualifications as well as collaborating on engineering services in the region.
