The full programme for the upcoming 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding and 3rd International Joint Symposium on Joining and Welding has been released.
This flagship event for professionals to share and develop scientific and technical knowledge related to friction stir welding (FSW) is due to take place in Kyoto, Japan, from 21-23 May, 2024.
Kyoto, which was once the capital of Japan, provides a beautiful backdrop to this forward-thinking event, with a total of 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including imperial palaces, Shinto shrines, classical Buddhist temples, and traditional wooden houses.
The symposia, which is supported by the Joining and Welding Research Institute, Osaka University, will be held at one of Japan’s premier conference centres, the Kyoto ICC.
The release of the programme means that attendees can now see the full list of sessions, presenters and topics to be presented across the three days as well as details of the accompanying poster presentations.
