Registrations are now open for the 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding and 3rd International Joint Symposium on Joining and Welding, which is taking place in Kyoto, Japan.
This unique global forum dedicated to friction stir welding (FSW) is taking place from 21-23 May 2024, offering an opportunity for professionals to come together from around the world to share and develop scientific and technical knowledge on FSW.
The symposium will include three days of technical presentations, along with opportunities to network and socialise during an evening banquet of traditional Japanese food and entertainment surrounded by a beautiful Japanese garden.
Kyoto provides a beautiful back-drop for this event, complete with Zen gardens, mysterious Buddhist temples and colourful Shinto shrines, providing an intriguing juxtaposition between the traditional and the advanced research in science and technology,
This event has been sponsored and supported by the Joining and Welding Research Institute, Osaka University and will also combine as the Third International Joint Symposium on Joining and Welding.
