The Welding Institute Centenary Dinner was held at King’s College, Cambridge on 7 December 2023.
A celebration of 100 years of The Institute, the event also provided an excellent way for attendees to meet contacts from both TWI Industrial Members and Professional Members of The Welding Institute, as well as academic partners and TWI staff.
The evening began with TWI Chief Executive, Aamir Khalid and the Vice-Chair of Council, Claire Kimpton greeting guests at the entrance to the college hall.
The attendees were also presented with a unique booklet commemorating 100 years of The Welding Institute as they sat down for dinner.
Following the meal itself, The President of the Council, Baroness Brown provided a toast before Aamir Khalid delivered a speech to all those in attendance.
We were delighted to be able to hold the event in the spectacular surroundings of King’s College, Cambridge, which provided the perfect backdrop to this significant event.
We would like to thank all of those who joined us at this celebratory dinner as well as all of those who worked behind the scenes to make the event such a success.
