TWI Consultant, Ewen Kellar is due to present at the 3rd International Conference on Industrial Applications of Adhesives, which is due to take place in Cascais, Portugal from 7-8 March, 2024.
Ewen, who is also named on the event’s International Scientific Committee, will deliver a talk called, ‘Before Anything Else, Preparation is the Key to Success: An Overview of Surface Treatment for Effective Adhesive Bonding.’
The presentation will delve into the topic of surface pre-treatments ahead of adhesive bonding, considering the nature of the surface that is being adhered to. This includes a look into what makes a good surface, factors to consider, what options are available for pre-treatments for adhesive bonds, and what can go wrong.
The 3rd International Conference on Industrial Applications of Adhesives 2024 is taking place at the 5 star Cascais Miragem hotel, which offers excellent facilities and is just 30 minutes from Lisbon's international airport.
The conference takes place every two years, providing a focus on adhesive bonding in industries such as automotive, aeronautic, rail, marine, energy, and electronics, bringing together adhesive manufacturers and users to exchange experiences and ideas to facilitate potential synergies and partnerships.
