The Welding Institute celebrated its 100th anniversary with a riverboat cruise along the Thames in London on Sunday 19 November 2023.
Organised by the London and Kent Branches of The Welding Institute, the event was opened up to other Professional Members and was also attended by TWI staff.
It was a delightful evening, which allowed the attendees to take in the sights of London as they shared memories of The Institute together.
The riverboat jazz cruise was sponsored by IACS Ltd as well as IABCO (I. A. Barnes and Company), setting sail on The Golden Salamander and travelling from Westminster between Canary Wharf and Putney, including a prosecco/fruit juice reception, a two-course buffet meal and live entertainment from a three-piece jazz band.
The event also included speeches from TWI Research Director, Paul Woollin, TWI Group Manager for Marketing, Mike Emmett, London Branch Programme Secretary, Alan Denney and London Branch President, Eric Martin.
